Mario “Swing Daddy” Robau started dancing at the age of sixteen. He won the Southwest Regional title for the first time at the age of seventeen and began teaching professionally in 1986. For the last twenty years, Mario has traveled at least 40 weekends per year judging, teaching, deejaying, and emceeing at various dance workshops and conventions throughout the United States and Canada in the swing, country western, and shag dance circuits. Mario’s Competitive credentials include: 2 time U.S. Open Classic swing dance champion; U.S. Open Team Champion and co-choreographer; 10 time Dallas Dance champion; 6 time Southwest Regional champion; 10 time Texas State champion; 10+ City Houston Championships; undefeated slow whip champion; 4 time Grand National Champion; 2 time Phoenix Jack and Jill Champion; Dallas Dance Hall of Fame; Youngest person inducted into Swing Dance Hall of Fame

Brennar and Crystal decided to collaborate their passion for dancing in March of 2013, after many years of friendship. Upon social dancing together, they discovered that they had an effortless connection–a mutual respect and trust that paved the way toward their natural, smooth, yet strong and dynamic style. It was this, that led to forming a partnership so that they could share their passion for West Coast Swing, the art of dance and freedom of expression. Brennar’s first love, Carolina Shag, was his first exposure to dance, beginning at the tender age of 8. Crystal’s early years began quite similarly, at the age 15, with her first exposure being in East Coast Swing. Brennar and Crystal smoothly transitioned into West Coast, where they found that they loved the liberation that they felt West Coast offered. They have already had success, taking Showcase titles nationally, and just competed their first US Open Showcase together as partners. They are excited to be traveling the U.S. and internationally competing and teaching together, and can’t wait to share their passion for dance!
Melanie Stocker
My dance career started over 30 years ago. It hasn’t always been a direct path, but nevertheless, exciting and diverse. From Standard & Latin Dances I quite rapidly moved up to my “big love“ – Swing Dancing! Rock’n’Roll, Boogie Woogie, Balboa, Charleston and finally West Coast Swing followed in quick succession.
During my time as a competitor, my dance partner Reto Gurt and I took part in over 120 dance competitions, during which we won the following titles: as a dance couple and as part of the formation group Crazy Darts we were awarded 5 times Swiss Champions, 4 times
European Champions and 3 times World Champions in Boogie Woogie. We received the prestigious Frankie Manning Award in 2013 for Exceptional Merits in Swing.
To follow up my time as a competitor, I could view the dance world from the perspective of an adjucator and MC.
Since 1991, during my role as a dance teacher and coach I’ve had the priviledge to travel the world with “step-step-triple step.“ From USA to Russia, from Finland to England and Spain – altogether invitations from 16 countries. Amongst others were events such as Herräng Dance Camp in Sweden, Eurodance and Rock That Swing Festival and many more. Some of these events have been part of a yearly tradition for me for 20 years.
In 2004 I turned my hobby into a business and was able to combine dance, coaching and massage within my own company „BodyEmotion.“ All the travelling over the years and my language skills enable me to teach in different countries in their native language.
Very often being a teacher in a workshop entails a Show in which we integrate the students to be part of the performance. We choreograph everything from start to finish and mix in different dance styles. Olivier Massart and myself were the first couple from Europe to dance our Show at the convention in Sacramento, USA. Then the requests for choreographies for Shows and Jazzroutines started flowing in. I’ve coached and choreographed Rock’n’Roll and Boogie Formations, Lindy Hop and Charleston Shows, Line Dance Groups and Solo- Dancers.
Side by side with my career as teacher and choreographer, I started to organise events and brought many of the American dancing stars into Switzerland for the very first time. I organised, amongst other things, training weekends for top-ranking competition couples from all over Europe, and these week-long events in the Swiss mountains would often culminate in a compeititon or a show.
I’ve had the pleasure to teach with several of the Top-Shots of the scene; prominent names such as Mario Robau, Maxence Martin, Olivier Massart, Remy Kouakou, Simon Selmon, Bachir Arar, Olivier Harouard, Pavel Sotnikov, Reto Gurt, Mario di Jorio and Browly Adjavon.
Several years ago I came to learn and love West Coast Swing. Over the years, my instant aim to spread this dance in Europe has peaked. As one of the first dance teachers in the European swing dance scene, I was able to offer and to teach this particular style of dance. It is great to see how West Coast Swing has now spread everywhere.
One of my greatest strenghts is to be able to spot talent and potential early, to motivate and to nurture individuals. Countless national and international champions have come to me (from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, France and Italy), European and World Champions, as well as dancers, who have now become professionals themselves. As a coach of different national teams I would lead and mentor them and celebrate their great successes with them.
I strive to convey my knowledge to my students in the best possible way. I keep myself up-todate with the different dance styles and constantly develop my teaching methods. I keep advancing myself as well as finding unconventional ways to teach.

I offer my dancers comprehensive care – from dance specific and technical skills to exercises ideally suited for them, to mental strength and moral support. My goal is that each client with their specific personal situation will get the optimal prerequisites, whether dancing is a hobby for them, whether they perform in shows, compete, dance in formations or want to claim their place in a national team, wish to improve their livelihood as professionals or want to keep up-to-date as an adjucator.
My profession has given me the dual insight into what it is to be on stage and behind the curtains – this enables me to specify my approach to intervention and development. The driving force for me is the joy I receive from advancing people and supporting them to become better, more self-assured and succesfull.
Patty Vo
As one of the most creative and dynamic dancers around, Patty Vo is known for her unique style of dance.
She has been dancing for over 16 years and is recognized as one of the top female West Coast Swing Dancers on the scene.Through her versatility she is able to mesh her unique styles of dance to create a distinctive style of her own.
She is known for her incredible “feel for the music”, creativity, versatility, and especially, her charisma on the dance floor.
She is also a highly respected international instructor, judge, and competitor. She competes at the Showcase Division and Champion level and has won numerous national competitions and awards, including placing five times at the U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships.
Patty teaches all over the World including; France, UK, Australia, Russia, Canada, USA, and Sweden just to name a few.
In her teaching style, Patty focuses on connection, centering, musicality, footwork, and lead/follow techniques, also incorporating various aspects of her favorite dances: West Coast Swing, Country, Salsa, Hip-Hop, Ballroom, and Jazz. Her classes are very challenging, innovative, and extremely insightful. Her methods have produced some of the fastest moving and best dancers in the country.
Her dance training includes West Coast Swing, Ballroom, Salsa, Jazz, Lyrical,Ariel Silks, Hustle, Lindy, and Country.

Crystal fiatal évei is hasonlóan kezdődtek, ő 15 évesen találkozott először az East Coast Swinggel. Majd mindketten áttértek a West Coast Swingre, ahol felfedezhették azt a felszabadultságot, amit ez a tánc biztosít. Már értek el közös sikereket táncpartnerekként hazájukban Showcase divízióban, és most versenyeztek először együtt a US Open-en. Boldogok, hogy együtt utazhatják be az Egyesült Államokat és a világot, együtt versenyezve és tanítva, és alig várják, hogy másokkal is megoszthassák a tánc iránt érzett szenvedélyüket!

2013-ban megkaptuk a nagynevű „Exceptional Merits in Swing” Frankie Manning díjat.
Versenyzői éveim után tanárként,bíróként és műsorvezetőként dolgoztam tovább.
1991 óta, tánctanárként és edzőként abban a kiváltságban van részem, hogy bejárhatom a világot a “step-step-triple step.“ égisze alatt. Tanári és koreográfusi karrierem mellett elkezdtem rendezvényeket szervezni, így elsőként hívtam Svájcba sok amerikai tánccsillagot. Szerveztem – többek között – hétvégi edzőtáborokat a legjobb versenyzőpárosoknak egész Európából, és ezek az egyhetes események a svájci hegyekben gyakran ötvöződtek versenyekkel vagy showműsorokkal.

Különböző nemzeti csapatok edzőjeként vezetem, irányítom őket, és velük együtt ünneplem sikereiket.
Igyekszem tanítványaimnak átadni tudásomat minden lehetséges módon. Igyekszem naprakésznek lenni a különböző táncstílusokban, és állandóan fejlesztem tanítási metodikámat. Folyamatosan fejlesztem magamat is, és keresem a szokatlan tanítási módszereket.

A szakmám lehetőséget biztosított nekem, hogy egyszerre lássam milyen a színpadon lenni és mi zajlik a színfalak mögött, így ennek fényében tudom alakítani hozzáállásomat a tanításhoz. Hajtóerőm az az öröm, ami mások támogatásából fakad, hogy még jobbak, még magabiztosabbak, és még sikeresebbek lehessenek.

Patty Vo, az egyik legkreatívabb és legdinamikusabb táncos, leginkább egyedi táncstílusáról ismert.
Több mint 16 éve táncol, és az egyik legnagyobb női West Coast Swing táncosként tartják számon. Sokoldalúságának köszönhetően képes egyedi táncstílusait összefonva kialakítani saját jellegzetes stílusát. Elképesztő módon érzi a zenét, kreatív, sokoldalú, és különösen karizmatikus a táncparketten.
Nemzetközileg elismert oktató, bíró és versenyző. Showcase divízióban, Champion szinten versenyez, számos amerikai versenyen nyert és szerzett címet, többek között ötször volt dobogós a U.S. Open Swing Dance bajnokságon.
